Thanks to all of you who attended this morning’s briefing session about the Carbon Innovators – the new innovation initiative being supported by the Climate Leaders Coalition.
It was great to see and hear from people like yourself who have the spirit and talent to take on the challenge of reducing our carbon emissions. If you were unable to attend, you can watch a video of the event, and download the presentation, via the links below.
The goal of Carbon Innovators is to accelerate innovation across corporate New Zealand that engages talent, fosters collaboration and focusses on commercial solutions that will have material impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The Founding 13 Coalition companies have made an in-principle commitment to back any innovations that can make meaningful dent in New Zealand’s emissions – via prototype funding and, potentially, through to commercial development.
It’s now time to start engaging the right people from within and alongside our organisations and encourage them to join Carbon Innovators – as participants, mentors or organisers.
And for those of you from outside of Auckland, we would love to hear from you also – although we will prototype the first Carbon Innovators event in Auckland, we want to include other centres in due course.
We’re keen to get going. Are you in?
